My friend has something malicious on her computer that is hijacking her AOL Instant Messenger program and sending links to a virus to lots of people, causing her to have to be offline a lot. I've offered to fix this and got her better antivirus, firewall, and antispyware, but just in case I wanted her to get me a HijackThis log too. I please ask that you get this analyzed soon so I can drop her an email with what she needs to do. I've attached her log.

Hey rodents....good to see you again...There's some infections in there, have them click on the prework link in my signature, follow all the steps, and then they should have an AVG log and a new hjt log. Please attach both, and we can get to work.

The prework is the antivirus and antispyware I gave her, along with ZoneAlarm. I'll ask about the AVG log later.

I have to bug her about it. She hasn't responded.

bug away....no biggie. Thread isn't going anywhere, I just noticed that there hadn't been any action in it. Honest. The bosses weren't whipping me that hard at all.

Seriously, though, ask if she still needs the assistance, or if she wants us to zip this one up.
