Default [Fixed] I need help, totally baffled
hello, im a new poster and hav a problem
i wasn't really sure where to post this topic, it is sort of general so apologies if this is the wrong forum.
i have a high power pc machine, almost a year old and it is running very slowly.
i regulary run spyware checks [recently purchased webroot spy sweeper + antivirus and run AVG free] and have 85gb free memory.
my computer was super fast doing all tasks a few months ago now internet is slow, programs take ages to load - its a nightmare

any suggestions guys? all appriciated :]

This is probably malware that isn't being detected. Please could you follow the PCHF Prework link in my signature and then post up the resulting logs back in this thread. Then one of our security team will take a look for you.

I see a remnant of the Smitfraud infection.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
