Hello confused, and welcome to the pchf forums.

that hjt log is seriously out of date, over a year old. if you could do me a favor, click on the prework link in my signature and follow all the instructions in there. You will end up with two logs, one being an AVG log (make sure you choose to have the items it finds quarantined) and a new HJT log; please post back with both, and we'll get to work on cleaning you up.

Thanks,

v

hey confused, glad you got that sorted out.....did you manage to save the AVG log as I requested? If not, run it again (instructions are in the prework link) and post that. That is a pretty valuable tool also, as then I can see what we're dealing with. Don't forget to have AVG quarantine or delete what it finds.

Also, no need to PM me on the posts......I get notification as it is.

thanks,

v

I am trying to put the AVG log up however I don't see the steps that you have listed on the screen after the scan to post a log. AVG isn't detecting anything wrong. Running Windows Live OneCare I am getting the W32/badtrans.a@mm virus detected but no other program is detecting it, and I can't find a fix for it.

Is this the log that I am supposed to post for the AVG software?

you seem to have multiple antivirus programs running, Authentium and Solo; you need to choose just one to go with. Multiple ones will just confuse each other.

Open hijackthis, click 'run a system scan only', and place a check next to the following, and click 'fix checked':

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {e2e2dd38-d088-4134-82b7-f2ba38496583} - %windir%\Network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe (file missing)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: @xpsp3res.dll,-20001 - {e2e2dd38-d088-4134-82b7-f2ba38496583} - %windir%\Network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe (file missing)

What problems are you experiencing?

Thanks,

v
