I use AVG anti virus and anti spyware, and have been very pleased with both......glad that it's fixed, I will mark this post as fixed. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
What you described sounds exactly what W32/badtrans.a@mm does, and it was most likely blown out by AVG during the prework part.
