Default [Fixed] Please help me: suspected adware/spyware

When I opened up my computer today, Adwatch informed that some of my registry keys have been changed. When running IE, I noticed that the icons on some websites had been changed and I'm not sure if it's adware/spyware that's causing it.

I don't notice anything else yet, but having the wrong icons seems very weird.

here's a screen shot

here's my adwatch log:

hello czhou1, and welcome to the forums.....if you could click on the prework link in my signature, that will have you go through some preliminary steps that will clean out some of the nasties in there, and should leave you with two logs, one from AVG (be sure to choose 'quarantine' on all the items it finds) and one from HJT. If you could then attach the two logs, we can get started.

Thanks,

v

thanks,

I think the problem is solved now. I ran a scan from Microsoft's one care and a few results turned up in my restore data. So I deleted my restore points, re-ran the scan and fixed the problem
