Default [Resolved] cant get connected...

I am running 2 pcs (both running XP) and an xbox 360 on broadband internet(cable modem) via wireless router. I have one computer (my main one) that the browser (firefox but have also tried MSIE) all of a sudden will not contect to the internet. (I keep getting the server not found and limited / no connectivity), The other computer on the router finds the internet connection just fine, but when i test the net connection on the 360 (the 360) fails the the dns thing or cant find isp address wotsit (sorry im not very techmically minded),
I have tried that ipconfig thing and the ip address on the troublesome comp comes up as all 0's and all the other bits listed are blank. at the moment i've disabled the ethernet wotsit on the main comp and have hooked my cable modem up to it via usb and that seems to work, but i cant connect the router to the usb so the other comp and 360 can't be used at the same time(or can they?) Any suggestions.

Richard.

Hey Backudog,

Welcome to PCHF. I am so terribly sorry for the delay in answering your post. We have a wonderful group of techs here, and I feel certain that we will be able to get your whole network running the way you want it.

First of all did this network ever work the way you have it set up?

If yes, please carefully follow the instructions for PreWork in my signature, using both the AVG and SpySweeper instructions, and post the resulting three logs back here.

If no, can you please describe exactly how you have the network setup, including the specs on both PCs, router, wireless cards, etc.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

thanx for replying, in answer to your question, yes the connection did work the way i had it set up originally (its only since about last tuesday that it stopped).
Just in case it helps I had it set up thusly :
cable modem (surfboard SB4100 cable modem) connected to
linksys wireless-g broadband router via ethernet cable,
main computer connected to router from built in ethernet port(Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast ethernet NIC) (and have tried putting another ethernet card (NETGEAR FA311Fast ethernet adaptor )onto comp but that didn't work either)
xbox 360 connected to said router via its ethernet port via ethernet cables
and the other pc connected wirelessly using a linksys wireless receiver.
all were setup according to the instructions supplied with the router and receiver and worked fine 'til tuesday.
Ihave attached the log files you requested and hope that helps solve my problem.
cheers!

By Golly, that's the jolliest reply we've ever gotten! LOL I would be happy to take a look at your logs. Beware though, I really believe in clean PCs. LOL

OK I'll be back in a bit.

Hey Dog,

Ummm, you accidentally attached one of your bills. LOL. Can you please locate the HijackThis log and post it for me please?

In the mean time, you will want to change your settings in your FireFox to have the cookies deleted when you close the browser. Let me know if you need specific instructions.

Looking forward to your reply,
