Lotus Exige, great car-looks good

I have fixed that "(O2 - BHO:" entry now, and I have attached the log I made afterwards.

Also somthing else that has changed is that whenever I recieve an update, I have only had windows defender ones recently, it doesnt notify me and come up with the express install option ain a separate box. What happens is when I select the shutdown option it has a icon next to it, and it installs those updates before it turns off. Is there anything that you think is wrong with this?

AVG hasn't come up with shell 32 thing now

Thanks, Jake

yay, log's clean. Good job, and thanks for the patience. What, no kudo's on getting the car right?

As for the updates, you should be able to choose the way that you get them; next time you see an exclamation point in your taskbar (down by the clock) you can click on that and choose express or custom. One thing that I think you did is set the icons to stay hidden; to fix that, right click on an empty space in the tool bar > properties > task bar tab > customize button on the bottom > make sure that the updates icon is set to 'always show'. That way it won't hide on you. Just an fyi, one of the fun features in XP is that even if you tell it what to do explicitly in there, it may still do whatever it wants to. I've been looking for a way to get rid of my second network connection icon in my taskbar for about 2 years now, no love.

As for you computer, to stay clean:

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.....anyone who likes lotus can't be a bad person.....even though I'm a Ferrari kinda guy....

Im glad the logs ok now, the computer boots faster and seems to go a bit faster too

I do know how to get rid of one of the "My Network Places" icons on the right side of the start menu.
You go- right click start button, properties, customise, advanced tab up top, go down to the "start menu items" then scroll down to my music, at the bottom of the my music section above my pictures there is a my network connections tick box, if you want it off untick it, then the "My Network Places" will get off the right side of the start menu.

the other "Network Connections" you do the same , customise, advanced tab up top, scroll down in the "start menu icons" in the middle. But then you go down further past My Pictures and there is a Network Connections part, with three round boxes, there is a "don't display this item" option and another.
Hope this sorts it for you.

Thanks for all your help with everything, se ya round, Jake
