Hi

I posted yesterday about my computer slowing to a stop and it was suggested that having installed AVG while still having Norton was the prob. So I went to uninstall Norton. It took over an hour and I left it on overnight. When I got up this morning it had frozen on 100% uninstalled so I had to reboot. But it's still there.

Now, when I click "remove" in change/remove programmes in control panel, nothing happens.

The computer is constantly whirring away, constantly on 96-100% CPU usage even though no progs are running.

Help! I can't do anything!

Please also follow the PCHF Prework link in my sig and post the reports/logs back here if your problem still occurs after uninstalling Norton.
