Some sort of malware installed a program called 'Quicktime Killer' which I removed from the system. Still, I can't successfully open Quicktime. It installs, and the icon shows up in the tray, but when I try to open it it gives me the error message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Debug library
Debug error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Quicktime\QuicktimePlayer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way etc etc.


Anyone have any ideas?? Help would be much appreciated.

Hmm i have a feeling you still have malware loacted on your system could you follow the Prework (located in my signiture below) and post a HiJackThis and Avg log.
