we are on the same internet, its the brodband. SBC. 2wire router. but as you said earlier, i think it was you atleast, my computer had lots of malware and that could affect the internet connection possibly. and so id think if mine was affecting it, his would too. because he has no anti-anything on his computer.lawl.

thanks

ohohoh yeah,
My brother (rayboto) and I were planning on buying a new antivirus program, leaning towards spysweeper. i know the spyware protection is good but how about the antivirus they have now..is that worth the money?

LGW is more qualified on malware and anti-virus than I am, but I personally don't use Norton. Much prefer AVG and you can get this for free. For me, this package for me has picked up virus's that Norton failed to. AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools

For you connection problem, check his event log's also, to see if he has had the same event log errors as you.

Hey Guys,

@Hemo, have your friend start his own thread, or you can begin one on his behalf, but let's stick to the problem at hand.

In regard to your question, why are you and your brother so set on purchasing software? . I personally agree with MM. I also prefer to keep my applications seperate in what they are able to do. You never want to put all of your eggs in one basket. Here is what I propose for you, and your friend if you want to add him in.

You all install the AVG antivirrus software MM recommends, you three buy a three way license for SpySweeper, you also in stall Spybot S&D, and Adaware, running the S&D Tea Timer, and you get Zone Alarm as a firewall. Does that work for you?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hem, when you buy 3 copies of Spysweeper, this means that you can use it on any 3 PC's at any one time, so yep, if you format a PC, you can use the same key you used before.

Hold up MadMonkey,

It depends on whether he bought a three pak license or a single. If he bought a single, I don't think it will work.

@Hemo, what did you purchase?

Looking forward to your reply,
