Hey Hemo,

I've had a look at your logs, you are severely infected, to the point where it may be a much better idea to wipe the PC and start from scratch. You have no AV software, and no Firewall, the two Anti-Spyware programs you are using are not helping either, one is a known rouge, and the other is known to be ineffective, and you aren't even updated to SP2, so I have no idea how far behind you are in your updates. You need to read the article, PCHF Protect Your PC, in my signature regardless of what you decide to do.

If you decide that you wish to proceed with attempting to fix the PC, I must warn you that the chances are you will end up with a damaged Registry. But I will certainly help you if you wish.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

No Kidding! LOL

OK Hemo, here's what I recommend that you do, first, read the article in my signature, PCHF Protect Your PC. It will give you a better understanding of how and why to back up your PC, also listings of free anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewalls. So you can spend your money on more RAM, or something fun. . As well as information on why updates are so important.

Prior to wiping the PC, burn all of your important files, and pictures, music etc. to CD, or DVD if you have a DVD RW. Alternately, you can use an online storage site, such as X Drive, they have a thrity day free trial, you can upload all of your files, wipe your PC, and then Download them back to your computer.

Depending on whether or not you have the operating CD or the manufacterers restore CD you will reformat and reinstall. Then immediately decide on what anti-malware you will be using, install them, and do your updates. Then install your programs, and replace your files. If you need more detailed instructions, or simply need someone to handhold you through the proceedure, just let us know.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Yup, that would work too. I don't usually recommend that just because a lot of folks would have to go out and buy one.

So, make sure you make a list, or you will almost certainly forget something like your Favorites folder, and get yourself backed up.
