My computer is connected to a router via a cable and my wife's computer is in another room connected via wireless. The cable connected computer used to be just slightly faster than the wireless, but all of a sudden the cable connected computer became really slow to open a page but the wireless computer still works fine. I've tryed different browsers with the same results and everything else about the computer seems fine, just slow internet.

If you press [CTRL]+[ALT]+[DEL], and click on the Networking tab, you will see your connection speed there, normally 100mbs. Network utilization should be a 0% if your not doing anything on the network. If your showing more, than it may be a good idea to follow PCHF Prework as you may have malware, or installed something on your PC which is using up your network bandwidth.

Yes, the connection speed is 100mbs and the utilization is hovering under 1%.

Sorry Dan, chances are that malware is the culprit . Can you please follow the PreWork instructions, they're in my signature as well, and post the resulting two logs back here. I am going to move this thread to the HijackThis forum while we are sorting this out.
