Hey, just a follow up,

I did some in depth searching and i found out that i had been looking for the cookies in the wrong folder (stupid me). I found the cookies, and I can delete the cookies, although they do reappear. Interestingly, the cookies do not appear when i open internet explorer. They appear when i access specifically this website. Are these cookies this website normally has?

I would need to know what they are first, Leo, lol.

PCHF as do many other legitimate websites, uses cookies to make your logging in easier, it allows you to be recognized, and automatically logged in. That is different from the other type of cookies that are called Tracking Cookies, and Adware Cookies, these are used to monitor your use, open up your PC to access by other malware, and to put Ads on your PC.

If you would like to post them, I could tell you which they are.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Yes that would be what we need. But those are definitely not coming from PCHF.

Have I had you show all your system files?

Let's give AVG another go at those, it seems that they have embedded themselves somewhere in your registry, and I would have expected RegSupremePro to get rid of them, so I am a bit concerned that they are still showing up. Also, would you please post a new HJT log for me? Thanks,

Looking forward to your reply,

Hey Leo,

Delete all of the quarantine and restore files for all of your AV and anti-spyware programs, it's possible that they are reinstalling themselves from on of these.

Looking forward to your reply,

Hi ladygreenwitch,

I deleted all the quarantine files(I had about 105 in AVG!) After running CCleaner again, it found many of the same mistakes. The atwola and tacoda cookies appeared when the internet error message appeared upon exitting internet exporer. I deleted a few internet originating folders but that seemed to have little effect. I have a lot of folders in my application data folders in documents and settings that i can't connect to a program I use. After some research on the web, i found that some i was unsure on (like CrystalSpace and LeaderTech) were legitimate. My problem is that i cannot find the origin of the problem and i think that once i do, it might help point me to the right solution. Thanks for all the advice!
