Default [Closed] Norton Internet Security picked up on a Trojan.Peacomm

Hi,
it's been a while, but when my Norton popped up saying that a Trojan.Peacomm had been detected on my computer, and that it was added to my Outbreak Alert list for me to follow, I wasn't really sure whether I should have been worried or not.

I also ran a full system with AVG Anti Spyware (with computer set to Safe Mode) and Norton Internet Security 2006, but neither picked up on anything.

Hoping someone kind on the forum would be able to help out.

Hi gummy-ness!

If you would like to follow the PCHF Prework link in my signature and then post back here an AVG Report and a Hijackthis log, our security team will then check them for you.

Well the AVG scan didn't come up with anything, so here's my HiJack log file

Edit, please post HJT and spyware logs as attachments. Thanks,

LGW

I don't see anything particularly wrong with your HijackThis log.

Hey Guys,

@Gummy,

You could have a Trojan that Symantec is picking up but can't fix, or some other script is trying to run that it doesn't recognize. Can you please download and run Housecall from my signature and see if that picks anything up?

Also, is Symantec giving you a specific or general outbreak warning? Is it occuring at any specific time that you can identify? Does it happen more than once in a row? Have you checked the Symantec log for specifics?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

With Housecall, do you mean the Online scan? Whenever I click on "Scan Now. It's Free!"
it ends up freezing half way.

Not occuring at any specific time, but underneath my 'Outbreak Alert' tab, it says Trojan.Peacomm underneath the Threat Name. Also says: Data current as of : Monday, January 22, 2007 11:46:01PM

Haven't checked my Symantec log, as I don't know what to look for.

Shall have another go at the Housecall though.

Thanks ladygreenwitch
