Exclamation [Closed] Somthing Wierd

Hello,
i have wierd problem, i`m using xp sp2 and sudnly when i`m trying to get to task manager, with ctr alt del, it`s giving me a msge that "task manager has been disababled by youre administartor"
wich is very wierd couse i`m the only user at home and idon`t have any administrator, is it some kind of virus or trojan pls HELP!!!!

Hey Rufus,

Try this link to re-enable Task Manager: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/EnableTM.reg

You might want to also run PCHF Prework on my sig to make sure malware didn't cause this change in the registry.

Default Hello Madmonkey

Well the link didin`t work
and i did the proces of all that needed fot hijacthis log,
and another thing i have kasperski online and alwayes working and when i notice that i have problem geting in to Task Manager i stated to get meseges from kasperski about wierd virusis and alot of them , so if you could check the log and advise me what to do it whould be great
thank you.

- Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
- Navigate to the following branch: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System
- In the right-pane, right click on DisableTaskMgr and export it to a location you will remember.
- Right click again and delete DisableTaskMgr
- Close Regedit and reboot.

A member of security will check your log shortly.

From a quick glance of the log, I can see a few trojans hanging about.
