Hi Eric,

Did you allow SpySweeper to fix everything that it found? Let's get more serious with this, download CCleaner from my signature, as well as Adaware.

Please make sure that you have updated SpySweeper, and CCleaner, your System Restore is disabled, and boot into Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please run CCleaner, make sure that all options are selected including Advanced. Answer OK or Yes to all warnings. Click on Analyze, then Run Cleaner. Repeat running CCleaner until you either get no files to remove, or the same ones repeatedly show up.

If you have some files that CCleaner is unable to clean, locate the files manually, right click on them, remove the tick from Read Only if there, and try to manually delete them.

Next, click on Issues. Click on Find Issues, the Fix Selected Issues, let it fix everything that it finds, choose todays date as the backup file name. Repeat this process until nothing else remains. Close CCleaner.

Now run SpySweeper, make sure that under Options, Sweep Options, everything under Custom Sweep is selected. Run a full system scan, and make sure to let SpySweeper fix everything that it finds. Save the log again.

Next run Spybot S&D, full system scan, again, let it fix everything that it finds. Save the log from that scan.

Next run Adaware, up at the top you will see a gear icon, click on that.
Under General, make sure that all selections are checked.
Under Scanning, make sure that all available selections are checked.
Under Advanced, please make sure that all items under Logfile Detail are selected.
Click on Proceed, then run a full system scan. Save the log from this scan as well.

Now boot back into Normal Mode, and please post back with all three scan logs, as well as a new HJT log.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Ok I'll work on that. one thing iv'e noticed is in task manager under processes 'system idle process' seems to be using a lot of cpu. It is in the mid to upper 90's. I'm not sure if this means anything.

Let's look into that once we are sure we have removed all of the RLMs, then we can look at any other strange behavior.

Looking forward to your reply,

Ok I've done all of these. let me know if you see anything. They all were able to fix anything they found. How do I remove my current uploads. I am using too much space to upload more.

Hi Eric,

Your Adaware log is completely clean, your SpySweeper log is clean, but shows some things that might help free up space on your HDD.

First of all, I would follow the instructions in this short article regarding hyberfil.sys. Unless you are particularly fond of Hybernation, I would disable it. I include the article because it has some great information.

SpySweeper is also indicating that you have a damaged .pst file, which could cause problems with your Outlook. Please follow the instructions for repairing a pst file. Here is the location of the file
c:\documents and settings\hp_administrator\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst

Also a corrupted file from an update of your Quickbooks, go to Add/Remove programs, make sure that it is set to show updates, you are looking for a reference to this number, 46333, but it may not work that way, you may just need to uninstall and reinstall the updates and patches to Quickbooks.

You will also want to purge the files from the Recovery folder inside Spybot S&D. Just click on Recovery, Select All, Purge selected items.

There also appears to be some type of installation error, and a couple of encrypted files in your Administrator Temp folder that shouldn't be there. They are affecting Internet Explorer, Symantec, and Outlook. Also, empty your Norton's Protected Recycle Bin completely, and all Symantec quarantine items.

Were you able to remove all of the files located by CCleaner? If not, can you please post back with information about what they are? Also, when you log into Safe Mode, do you log in as yourself or the Administrator? If you are checking on files you were not able to delete, please boot back into Safe Mode, log on as Administrator, and see what CCleaner finds.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
