im sure this probably gets brought up all the time but if anyone could reccomend some software to download, to sort it all out would be mucho appreciated. i tried regcheck and got to the part where you have to whip your credit card out and decided against it for now. if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great cheers.

Hey dave,

You mentioned in a previous post that you do a lot of surfing on the internet? May have picked up a bit of malware along the way. If you follow PCHF Prework on my signature, and post your HJT and AVG logs back here. I'll pass this thread to the HJT forum so that a member of security can analyse for malware. Is this OK?

When you run the programs in the Prework link they create logs you then attach the logs back here and then our security team will check them for malware and then tell you how to remove any malware.

AVG - Anti Virus
AVG is a free anti-virus program we use to find any virus's that may be on your PC.

HJT - HijackThis
HijackThis is a program we use to gather information about what is running and starting up on your PC. These programmes are used by both lagitimate programmers and hijackers that infect your PC with spyware/malware.

From the logs, the security team will determine which are lagitimate and which is virus/spyware/malware from the log you provide, and will then provide you with instructions on how to remove.
