Hey Emt,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful team of techs here, and I am sure that we can help you sort our the problems causing your slowdowns.

Can you please post the AVG log from PreWork? If you neglected to go through the PreWork instructions, please get them from my signature, and post both the AVG as well as a new HJT log.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Default computer behaving oddly

my computer has been behaving oddly and been very slow, especially when using media programs such as iTunes or WMP. Here are my hjt and AVG logs:

Hey emt,

Thanks for posting those. Please don't start a new thread with the same problem tho, it makes it hard to keep all of the information in one place. I've merged your two threads together so we can have a better idea of what is going on.

Let me have a look at your logs, and I'll be back as soon as possible.

Default forgot to deselect "hide protected operating system files"

Hi, I went back and checked and realizedthat I had selected "show hidden files and folders" I had not deselected "hide protected operating system files" under explorer folder options. I fixed this and went back and did another safe mode scan with AVG and just now did a normal mode scane with HJT, attached are the updated logs

I'm not sure if it is my imagination, but it almost seems like my computer is getting worse. iTunes went from being sluggish to virtually unresponsive no matter how many times I reboot and now sometimes windows won't even reboot.

Hey Emt,

Basically your logs look clean. I would reset my FireFox to delete cookies when browser closes, in the Privacy settings, but HJT isn't showing any problems.

Have you had both Symantec Security Suite, and your Bluetooth software installed all along? Symantec can sometimes cause odd conflicts, it is possible that's what we should be looking at next.

Looking forward to your reply,
