It's me again!
Sad to say that I tried the FixME.reg solution and it still didn't work. But, on the plus side, the last two times I've booted up my computer, it's been a lot faster!
I don't know if this helps at all, but when I go to Display Properties, and try to pick a theme, it gives me the following error message:
---------------------------
Error Loading Theme
---------------------------
The theme could not load because one of the needed theme files could not be found. This can happen with themes that are not installed or authored correctly. You should verify that the wallpaper, screensaver, icons, sounds, and other files are in the correct location.
Theme: C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\Mystery (high color).theme
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
When I go to that location they have two types of files- Windows Theme files and background files (JPEG files) that match the themes. So the files seem to be there (says not modified since 10/2003, which is when I got my computer. I don't know if this is the slightest bit helpful, but thought I would volunteer any info I can.
I know you guys have already spent a lot of time on me, so let me know when this is a lost cause and I need to take it to a repair shop! Right now, I need to say thank you so much for your continued help in trying to figure out my poor, misbehaving computer! I really do appreciate your help with this!
