Default [Resolved] svchost.exe on high cpu usage

Somtimes svchost.exe slows down the computer . taking 100% cpu usage, There is about 8 of them in processes at one time, i know that svchos.exe is a system process and should be left but i think one of these is some form of malware. My PC is very slow to respond because of this i think. Anyway please check my log.

Looking forward to your reply,

Jake

Hi.

Your HijackThis log looks clean to me. Since HijackThis does not scan the entire system, please run Panda ActiveScan.
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report.

Meanwhile,
1. Perform a DISK CLEANUP:
(Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup)

2. Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. In the Command
Prompt window type: CHKDSK /F , and hit enter, answer "yes" and
reboot your computer.

3. Afterward, perform a DEFRAG of your hard drive.

Default panda scan report content

Thanks for the quick response Chiawaikian,

I have done the panda scan and it detected some spyware. The report is too long to add to the message so i attached it. I have not yet done the defrag, but i am about to.

Jake

Navigate to and delete:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jake\Local Settings\Temp\bp9o7qo7.exe

Besides that, your computer appears clean. Try the defrag, and tell me how your system is running.

ok I have deleted the bp9o7qo7.exe. There are seven svchost.exe's running on the processes. I am doing the disk defregmenter now. The system is still running slow, it slows down lots when i connnect to the internet taking lots of cpu. In that temp folder, there is another application with twunk and twain files around it should i delete those to?

Thanks, jake

Default AVG Anti-Spyware

I have installed AVG Anti-Spyware, it found and deleted quiet a few tracking cookies, but I think that it detected more than it deleted. There are now 8 svchost.exe's on the processes, they are not doing anything now, but after i had deleted the tracking cookies i think the mem usage went down on the svchost.exe's. I have just downloaded the free version of lavasoft Ad-aware SE from cnet.com, to try and get rid of the rest of the spyware.
