Hi Chad,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. It definitely sounds as if having your two AVs running has caused some issues with Norton's. Have you tried installing McAffee first?

Make sure that ALL components of Norton are shutdown from Task Manager prior to your attempt to remove the program, if you are not sure, please post a screen shot of your Task Manager open to processes. Do Not continue to try removing the components individually, you are just going to create more problems for yourself. Also, instead of Control Panel, try removing Norton's using the utility in Spybot S&D as instructed in my previous post.

Alternately, you could try this utility, Norton Removal. I have not used it myself, so cannot give you first hand information on it's reliability. Bleeping Computer is usually a very reliable forum, so it should be a good program.

I look forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

Guys after I uninstalled AOL, my computer started working as if nothing was wrong. Don't know why, but that seemed to fix it... Thanks for all your help and if someone could mark this post fixed I would appreciate it, because I don't know how.
