Hello, I've been recently bought a new HP laptop but things happened fast and it's infected by Application.JS.ForcePopup.D. It's really sluggish which drives me insane. I've upgraded to the Internet Exlporer 7. The softwares I'm using are Bit-Defender 9 Professional Plus, Spy-Sweeper, and Ad-Aware SE Professional. The infection also happens on my desktop.

Begging for help.

Hello, and welcome to PCHF.

Please reinstall your Spysweeper, I suspect it's corrupted. Nothing suspicious was found in your HijackThis log.

Please run Panda ActiveScan.
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
  • A new window will open...click the Check Now button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
  • When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
  • When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report.

I ran the SpySweeper in the safe mode which the interface looks different than the normal one in regular mode. I guess that's how you guys want us to do..? Or I can save a log while it's in XP regular mode. But most of the time SpySweer found cookies more than others.

Yes please save a log after SpySweeper runs a scan in normal mode.
Also could you scan with Panda and post its log (along with the SpySweeper one) in your next reply?
