im using 1.5gb RAM (i know should have gone DC) and i dont have any problems. Moving up to 1gb RAM would help and increase general performance.

From the looks of that logfile-- you do have a lot of software overall, and probably a lot of them are running in the background. I would highly recommend at least doubling your RAM.
In the meantime... there are many simple things you can do to free up unnecessary programs and services to free-up what RAM you do have now. Windows tends to have everything running all-at-once by default --which is completely unncessary.
For example: you don't need all your software apps constantly monitoring the web for updates-- and many do this automatically-- you have to stop them manually (ridiculous but true)

This page is a little "dated" -- but well-organized... and most of it applies today.

Windows XP Professional Services Tweaking

You can disable a lot of the visual "bells and whistles" in your display properties... all those shadows/fading tooltips/sliding menus.

TweakXP.com - Performance Tweaks

Keep your browser tuned up/clean out the cookies regularly.

here's upgrader's optimization guide-- lot's of suggestions.

I still would recommend more RAM, though. 512 is kind of minimal for XP... DDR2 or not.
