Default [Resolved] high CPU usage and ads:(

hello,

first I'm going to apologise because I know many people have had this problem and found solutions. Unfortunately I've tried EVERYTHING and I still can't get rid of it. When I try to use aps they use way too much of my processing power causing them to not function correctly. Also I have winfixer and drive cleaner warnings far too often and pop ups I can't stop.

I have fully up to date versions of ad aware SE, spyware doctor and Norton anti virus. I've tried kazza begone, ccleaner, power tools, regcleaner, all the vundo stuff, hijack this etc. I've done soo much stuff in safe mode it's ridiculus and I still have these problems. a few days ago I thought I was rid of it but after a few hours it was back.

also, I've followed about 6 different methods of removing this stuff, including manually removing files and reg stuff. The last thing I want to do is a re-install as I don't trust DVDs and would have to back stuff up on another HD (that I would have to buy).

thanks for any help and also I apologise again, I know this is not uncommon

Hello.

Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt,a new HiJackThis log and the AVG Anti-spyware log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.

I have done that before but I'm going to follow everyone's intructions. I did it again and it just says no files found. Also where can I get vundofix.txt?

I'm going to get the AVG log and post it shortly

ok, I did the AVG thing and here's the report. unfortunately I deleted things instead of quarantining them... it was an accident, I hope it doesn't mess things up
