Default Hi....I'm so happy

I was about to give up on my efforts and take the comp to get it fixed, but decided to give it one more try. My comp was still acting crazy, tons of pop-ups, crashing, wouldn't even work in safe mode, screen was black with no desktop so, I decided to write down all the names of the pop-ups that came on the screen. Winantivirus and drive cleaner were the two that popped up the most. I did a search for these on the internet and found out all about them and what programs were available for their removal. One particular program did a free scan, but you had to purchase it for removal of the problems. I did the scan, and it found 400 infections. At first, I thought it was a scam, that they just listed all those things just so you would buy the software, but I did research on the product also. The software turned out to be legit, so I purchased it for $30 and have never been happier(I would have spent way more taking it to get fixed and the days I would be without my computer would've been miserable). It cleaned everything. My comp has been problem-free for two whole days. I want to thank Pancake for taking time out and trying to help me and answer my questions. I'm not an expert, no way near, but if you just do the research and have faith, you'll be fine. Thanks again to everyone on pchelp. I'll be on here for updates and general chat.
