I notice on alot of programs I run that the computer seems to open 2 copies, for example if I open windows media player 11 in taskmanager wmplayer.exe is running twice, does this for ieexplorer.exe and several games also, spiking cpu usage to 100% when this happens, anyone know how to fix?

Does this problem occur using 'a lot of programs', or on all programs?
Do these processes keep spiking your CPU usage to 100%, or is that just temporarily?

just alot of them, and my cpu stays at 100% unless i end one of them ,
but i never know wich is the right one. so i end up closing the program.. =(
