Default [Resolved] Virus?

I'm not positive, but I think my computer might have a virus, I'm no expert with computers, so any help would be much appreciated.

Anyway, to decribe what's going on, lately my computer has been running a little slower than usual, most notably when it starts up. It takes about 5 minutes for it to load my computer desktop, when it hardly took a minute about a month ago.

That isn't so bad, but some other things are lagging up tremendously. I try to load up my Microsoft Word, but it doesn't even load until after about 30 minutes. Even when it does load, it won't let me open any of my files that I had been working on. Also my Norton Antivirus won't open. So, I've had to run different antivirus scans.

One other thing is that there are some random error messages that pop up every now and then. If they show anytime soon I can post them on here. As I said, any help would be really great.

Ewido has taken out one nasty so I can see no problem in your log now apart from that you just need to remove these entries...

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

Alright, thank you very much for your help.

Although, my Microsoft Word is still having problems. Is there anything I can do about that?

Are you still using Norton/Symantec internet security? Or has that been uninstalled?

Well, my father got the newest version of Norton Antivirus, and everytime I try and open it it says something about restarting my computer. Wihch doesn't help, since even when I DO restart it, it just says the same thing over and over.

Then I would recommend to disable or uninstall AVG antivirus, having two AV's running next to eachother can cause confict and performence problems and is never recommended.

It might even be the cause of the problem.
