OK, on to my problem. As of just recently I've encountered a problem with my internet connection. At first I thought it was the program STEAM used for playing games online, as the problem occured right after a certain STEAM update that I downloaded. It basically began to affect my online game play; in the middle of a game, sometimes after 2 minutes sometimes after 20 or so minutes my connection would just drop. I would have to exit the game, go out to windows and manually reset my modem to reconnect to the internet. It pretty much kept happening consistantly like that since Thursday Oct 5th. However, I noticed today that not only is my connection dropping out while playing a game through STEAM, but it started to drop while surfing the web as well. I have little to no knowledge of internet related things, so I am at a lost as to what to do. I thought for a while maybe NORTON 2006's firewall was interfering, so I did everything possible to tweak and eventually unistalled it for AVG free hoping that would solve things, but it keeps happening anyways. I tried updating drivers, closing background applications, running Adaware, Spyware blaster, etc but to no avail. The really wierd thing is that I have 2 PC's, and this problem is only occuring to one of them. When I hook up the other one the internet works just fine, so I am begining to think it must be something with my machine, but like I said, I have no idea??? Thanks again, -Calen.
