Could you please help me help my friend with her computer! You guys have recently helped me out with great results with a problem on my computer. This computer of my friend is older, has windows 2000 sp4. she has inadvertantly clicked yes to many a pop ups and at one time or another deposited a number of things on her computer. i have rid thinggs before using trendmicro's houscall as well as regular use of ad-aware. Currently, it is still slow amd ewido keeps picking up adware.newdotnet, no matter how many times i dlete it. here r the logs:

Hya Jimmy.

Please go to add/remove programs and uninstall NewdotNet. If you don't have that option or if you have difficulties then please follow the instructions on this site

Then please copy the text in the code box below, and paste it into a blank notepad window.
Save it as Fix.reg and in the "save as" type box choose "all files".
Once you have saved it, double click it, and allow it to merge with the registry.

Code:
REGEDIT4

[-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\WUSN.1]
And post a new HJT log when done please.

Looking good from here. Just some to cleanup:

Run HijackThis , select to do a "system scan only" and then place a check beside each of the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = Yahoo! SearchBar Home Page
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = Yahoo!
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = Yahoo!
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Blank.htm
Now first close all windows and browsers other then HijackThis , then click Fix checked and close HijackThis.

After that reboot your pc.

How is it going with your pc now? Any problems left?
