Opening a folder won't infect you... opening a file will though.

From both your logs, it seems quite apparent that you have not been infected except for a few relatively harmless cookies.

Is your computer behaving "strange"? That may be a symptom of malware, and we'll look further. Otherwise, your computer appears clean.

Hi Chiawaikian,

Sorry mate, I meant I opened the file. The comp is running unusually slow, but as of yet nothing strange. I opened the file, then closed it and scanned it - it revealed 3 trojans. Can't understand why AVG would report that, if the scans prove clean?

Does AVG give you a path to the file ?

Hi Pancake,

The path AVG gave was to the downloaded file - which I deleted straight away. The AVG message sais the trojans were embedded in the file. Is it possible that the trojans didn't leave the file and infect me, and were just deleted with the download? In the past, i've always had to go through a ritual to remove them.

It could indeed be that they weren't executed , but just to check i'd say try a Panda scan:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

And if it finds something then post the log from it.
