Well I really did it this time....I went to Morpheous yesterday because I decided I wanted Adobe Photoshop CS2 and I didn't want to pay for it. So I DL'ed the entire .rar file and couldn't get it installed. So I dl'ed what I thought was a startup folder for CS2 and I suppose it was a virus. My programs started shutting down and when I sent the report to Microsoft they informed me of a worm that I may have received.
Here is the virus I may have: W32/Gaobot.worm.gen.u

Running pirate software and not paying for it is stealing. I dont condone this practice so therefore I cannot assist you.

I sure am glad I dl'ed that spyware software and hijackthis programs....

What makes you think I don't pay for my Morpheous account?

Since you are new to PCHF, I will inform you that we have very strict rules regarding illegal activity, including pirating software. Please familiarize yourself with the prior to any further posting on this site.

We do not under any circumstances allow users to recieve assistance on issues created by breaking the law. You are welcome to completely remove all traces of this pirated software, and then resubmit your request for assistance in another thread. If any further signs of pirated software are found, we will be unable to help you unless it is completely removed as well.

I hope that you choose to remain a member, and refrain from this type of activity in the future.
