Hi

Something is very messed up with my pc. Whenever I open or uninstall applications these actions take AGES rather than a few seconds. Even stuff like deleting a single file takes a LONG time. The weird thing is when I finally have the program I'm trying to use up and running it seems to run fine, be it windowsmediaplayer or a game.

This is pretty frustrating so I hope you guys can help me fix this. I have run both panda anti-virus, ad-aware and ewido but they havent found anything.

Attached is a hopefully revealing hijackthis log.

Thx a lot for your time

Hya Martin.

Not much wrong there it seems , but is belgacom.be youre ISP?

And youre Java is not up to date:

Updating Java:
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
  • Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... ) It should have next icon next to it: Select it and click Remove.
  • Then Download and install the newest version from here:

And let's if a registry cleaning helps with youre problem:

install and run RegSupremePro.
It will want to make a backup of your registry , let it. Once it has finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive. When it has completed, click on Select, choose All. Click on Fix, and let it fix everything that it finds.

Hey Joe

Thx for you help so far! I've done all you proposed but the problem persists.

In all I've now tried fixing it with ad'aware, spybot, ewido, panda antivirus, regsupreme pro and even defragmentation.

If you have any troubleshooting questions then plz fire away!
