hey lgw

alot of the stuff that u told me to delete doesn't let me delete it from registry so i'll just leave it alone for now and i found out why internet is acting funny my isp put some sort of block on my account for some reason and it causes my dsl light to flicker almost every 5 minutes will call them tomorrow annd get that fixed

my internet is good now and i did everything on that list and deleted everything from symantec i hope is there anything else you wanted me to do

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System, use the Ctrl+F instructions search for and delete any occurance of the following;
  • ccEvtMgr
  • ccSetMgr
  • ccPwdSvc
  • ccProxy
  • DefWatch
  • NAVENG
  • NAVEX15
  • SAVRoam
  • SCSRT
  • SAVRTPEL
  • SNDSrvc
  • SPBBCDrv
  • SPBBCSvc
  • Symantec AntiVirus
  • SYMREDRV
  • SYMTDI
ok i found some of these using ctrl+f and it comes up as legacy_sndsrvc ect.. should i delete them or leave them alone

Hi Genie,

Yep, that Symantec is REALLY invasive. I would delete them, they are remnants and not necessary any longer.

Is it OK for me to mark this one as Fixed?
