Default [Resolved] NET_Sendpacket problem

hey guys i have come across the same problem as someone else on here, ive done pretty much everything everyones told him to do and have all my logs in a file for someone to check out, basically my problem is while im gaming online, ive been playing counter strike source for almost 2 years now and never had a problem up until a month ago, basically after about an hour of gaming i will get this error in the games console "
NET_SendPacket Warning: WSAENOBUFS : "server ip" and then my game freezes up and kills my internet connection and i have to restart to get the connection back it has become extremely annoying since i am in an online league and cant seem to get a match in without it happening, now ive done alot to try and fix with the exception of reformatting, but that is out of the question because my family has stuff on here they cant afford to lose, my specs are

win xp home edition sp 2
p4 3.06ghz
1gb of ram
verizon dsl 768kbs
radeon 9800 pro 128mb graphics card

my logs from ewido, spysweeper and hijack this are attatched
any help anyone can give me will be extremely appreciated thank you

Hi Teflondon,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful team of techs here, and I am sure that we will be able to help you resolve this issue.

Great job on running all of those scans . I am curious, are there four or five people using this PC? Do you use multiple names when logging into your computer? Most of the malware on your PC appeared to be spyware cookies, which ewido and Spy Sweeper claim to have removed.

One thing I have noticed that is similar in your log to Kumail's, "Bizarre Situation," is that you guys both show two Anti-Virus programs running, you have AVG and McAffee, and Kumail had Norton's and McAffee. Are you actually running the AV in McAffee or just using it for the Firewall? I would remove McAffee, and replace it with one of the great FREE firewalls out there, see the article PCHF Protecting Your PC, in my signature for more information.

I would uninstall your Viewpoint Toolbar because of the following information;Read This

You should also disable your Windows Messenger, it is unnecessary and can leave you vulnerable to popup attacks, download Shoot the Messenger from my signature, it is very quick and easy to run.

You can fix the following with HijackThis;
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://community.webshots.com/user/hondachick212
O2 - BHO: Viewpoint Toolbar BHO - {A7327C09-B521-4EDB-8509-7D2660C9EC98} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBarBHO.dll O3 - Toolbar: Viewpoint Toolbar - {F8AD5AA5-D966-4667-9DAF-2561D68B2012} - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBar.dll
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Viewpoint Search - res://C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar\ViewBar.dll/CXTSEARCH.HTML
O23 - Service: Apache - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache\Apache.exe" --ntservice (file missing)
I am also interested in your system, when was the last time you defragged your PC?

Have you run memtest on your computer to make sure the RAM is in good condition?

Have you downloaded a new winsock.dll file? If not I would replace the copy that you currently have. You can try Winsock Fix which will automatically remove the old winsock files, and replace them.

Please also run a new HijackThis log and post it. Thanks,

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hey Teflondon,

OK, I was wondering because the cookies were under five different names. I would definitely keep AVG, it is an excellent AV program. You also need to get a firewall.

I think your family could use a little information about how to keep themselves, and the PC safe. Print out the article from my signature, PCHF Protecting Your PC. Make sure that they read it and follow the guidlines. You will also find information about free firewalls that can replace your Mcaffee.

I'll take a look at your new HJT and see if there is anything there, in the mean time test out your PC, play a little CS and see if you have the same issue.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Two hours huh? Well we're making progress. LOL.

OK, here is the link to memtest, it should be pretty self explanatory, let me know if you have any trouble.

You did make sure to turn off System Restore, and run the ewido log in Safe Mode, correct? As you didn't say otherwise, I am assuming that the Winsockfix fan successfully.

Let's give the system file checker utility a go as well, perhaps one of your system files is damaged and it is causing a winsock issue.

Have your OS CD in the drive. Click on Start, Run, type in
sfc /scannow
Hit the Enter key. This will search for and replace any damaged or missing files.

Looking forward to the results and your new post,

TTFN
