Default [Resolved] Problem with My Computer and IE

Today something happened to my computer and it's facing 2 problems

1. When I open My Computer, it takes a very long time to load. Theres this torch searching icon and sometimes the screen just blanks.

2. When I type in something in the address bar in IE and hit enter or press Go, nothing happens. only the windows logo and the top right corner starts moving but nothing else happens.

Please tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it.
Any help is appreiciated
Thank you.

Thanks for the fast reply
I just used system restore and restored it to a week ago and the problem is fixed.
Anyway, I'm interested in purging all other problems in my computer so I did the prework.
My pc has another problem that is...everytime I boot my computer for the first time in a few hours it will get stuck at the loading windows xp professional screen. However, if I reboot then it will function properly.
Can this be fixed?

Attached are the logs.
Thank you

Hi

Glad to hear the problem is ok now. What i'll do, is move this thread to the hijack this section, and contact one of our security experts to look over them for you. I'm sure we can sort your other problem too!

Looks clean to me.

But i would advice to go to windows update , and update youre I.E , it is out of date. And look for other updates at the same time ofcourse.

Also i dont see a firewall running , if you dont have one then have a look in our download section for a couple of free onces.

See if this helps:

install and run RegSupremePro.
It will want to make a backup of your registry , let it. Once it has finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive. When it has completed, click on Select, choose All. Click on Fix, and let it fix everything that it finds.

I went to microsoft update and there was a long list of security updates.
I updated my computer and reboot.

Then my computer loaded after the Windows XP Professional screen and just before the welcom screen it rebooted itself. And it does it over and over again. I don't have to touch a thing and it reboots itself infinite times.
I couldn't get into windows after that and I haven't backed up my stuff.
So, I installed another copy of windows on E drive and went inside and backed up my stuff. Then, I formatted my C: Drive and installed windows on it.
So now, I have 2 OS, one on C drive and one on E drive.
Whenever I boot, it will prompt me to choose between the 2 OS. It was kinda irritating so I decided to get rid of the E drive one.
I went to My Computer , right click E drive and formatted it.
However, when my computer boots it still prompts me to choose between 2 operating systems.
So now another problem arises:

How do I get rid of the choose OS screen?
I'm sure I only have one OS on my computer right now.

Hope you can help.
Thanks =)

To remove one of the operating system choices ....

Right click on My Computer and go to Properties\Advanced\Startup and Recovery Settings tab.If you now click the Edit tab you will be able to remove one of the two operating systems from there.
