So the CHROME:// is NOT a default re-direct for firefox when i type in a bad url.....??

I did find a few articles through google when i searched for Chrome://global

In any case (solved or not) i must say i am VERY VERY impressed with the amount of time and effort the staff here put's into helping net users solve issues of this nature.... You officially just acquired a spokesperson for this forum....

thank you

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what chrome is.

I come bearing information!

After speaking with some guys on the #firefox channel of MozNet, I have some information: the reason you are getting a wierd page when you type in a bad URL is because generally, bad URLs will get "I'm Feeling Lucky"ied through Google, thus forwarding you to a strange site.

If you are using 1.0.x, and you have XUL error pages turned on, a bad page will bring up a chrome:// URL, although this is only true in 1.0.x.

Thanks Space.

I had a feeling it was something like that , it didn't look malicious to me.
