O.k. problem solved :-). A connection assistant program by the isp forced the different dnsa, the dns is used to connect to a chat server used by their support staff. But, they forgot to mention or fix, a forced dns within a network will create havoc. After a lot of winfixing and regediting the whole thing worked, But I removed the programl, since it kept changing the settings back... Grrrrrrr
