[Fixed] Hijackthis! Logs - [Fixed] whenyousearch posted in the Security & Safety forums; this toolbar keeps popping up when my computer starts up...any suggestions on how to remove it?...

Hya AfCartman. That should be fixed in notime.


Boot in safemode (hit f8 when booting up) and then look in add/remove programs for WhenUSearch , if present then uninstall it.

Then if still present fix these with hjt:

O2 - BHO: WhenUSearch Helper - {BA2325ED-F9EB-4830-8FCE-0BC35B16969B} - C:\Program Files\WhenUSearch\search.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Reminder] "C:\Windows\Creator\Remind_XP.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WhenUSearch] "C:\Program Files\WhenUSearch\Search.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WhenUSearchWHSE] "C:\Program Files\WhenUSearch\whse.exe"
Delete the files in bold , reboot , and post a new hjt log to check.
