Red face [Resolved] Windows Media question

I don't know if this is the right forum since it is a windows media question and email. I received an attachment in an email that had recent pictures of emails that I had received from others which made me believe at first that this person may have access to my email account but then I viewed the attachment again and it had additional pictures of just received email. How does Windows media operate? Now I don't know what was originally intended to be sent in the original "questionable" attachment. I hope this doesn't sound as confused as I am.
Thanks so much,
DD1

Hi DD1,

Well, I had to read through it 3 or 4 times to stop being confused too!

Ok, you say you're recieving an Email from somewhere - is it a friends address, a company address, a total strange address? And the pictures it contains - mail that YOU have deleted? From how long ago?

(Please be careful posting someone elses Email info)

Default Windows media

It was a friend who sent the attachment to my email address but it had recent (Easter) greetings that I had in my email from other friends. So my question is...does windows media add to attachments or did the friend have access to my email account to have sent the easter greetings which was done by an artist so only one of a kind greeting? I do know the friend has my password and which has now been changed.
I hope this is clearer but still confusing.
Thanks so much for your help,
DD1

Hey DD1,

Are you sure the original messages hadn't been forwarded and/or replied to. That way, it would keep a record of previous messages. For example;

Your message has been returned ^here^, and if you were to quote my message, it would keep being added to new messages. With Email, a 'reply' is exactly the same.

It was sent back by reply because it had my previous message on it but the attachment name was from the friend because I did not have an attachment with that name in my email attachments.
Thanks,
DD1

Sounds to me like youre friend has send some sort of a joke app , did you try asking him what he has send already? Nothing will be added to an attachement normally.

And also , could you explain to me what you mean with "windows media" ?

And post an hjt log to see if it maybe is a worm or something like that , see download link below in my sig.

Joe5,

Thanks. I don't know what or how to do an hjt log. Which download? Such a newbie.
