Default [Resolved] Temporary Internet

Recently there has been something strange going on with my computer.
For some strange reason, I have a 'time limit' for internet access before it just stops connecting. After a few minutes of being able to connect to the internet, it just stops connecting and cant do anything. I have to restart if I want to go online again but the same thing happens. I tried doing a System Restore to a few days ago, but same results. I also tried ipconfig, but I might have done something personally since for some reason I cannot get into the cmd prompt (it gives me errors and exits out), so that idea is out the window.

For the troubled PC, I use XP Pro. I am attached thru a router and I know it works (i am using another PC on my network and the internet always works so I know it is not the ISP). I looked under my TCP/IP settings and it has not been changed. Went over the basics too (made sure the cables were in tight) and I know it is not the port on the router (tested it with this machine and it works).

If anyone has any ideas or needs more information please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hi there Un_Colombiano , welcome to PCHF.

Does it always happen or only when specific programs are running?

And to indeed have a look if malware is the cause , if you click on the "Prework" link below in my sig , follow the instructions there and post back with the two resulting log files then we'll start there.

Yup , that helps.

Please download VundoFix.exe from here , and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
  • You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
  • When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.

Then please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
