Default [Fixed] AVG - wont delete

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could help me with this please, I was surfing the net earlier and I got a virus detected warning from my AVG Anti Virus. I went into the virus vault and saw the virus there, I deleted the file/virus and it said the vault was empty. I decided to do a new scan to check all was ok but it detected 6 infected objects - I can get the details if you need them. At the end of the scan it just said 6 objects infected - I pressed ok and AVG just went off - I looked in the vauklt and the files arent in there. I was wondering how can I delete these files? ANd make sure the virus is gone?

I added a Hijack this incase anybody needs it

Cheers

Hya The1985evs.

I dont see any problems in youre hjt log and AVG seems to be running and installed ok.

I wouldn't worry about the first two as they where caught and placed in the vault , but do you know what the alert said? What it did with the files , where they where , and there names?

And a second opinion never hurts:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan

Can you do a scan there and post the log from it?

Ah , i see. Those files are in youre java's cache , to get rid of them:

Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel->Java Plug-in and click on the Cache tab. Then click on the Clear button and hit OK.
If you have Java 1.5, do this instead. Start->Control Panel->Java->Settings->Delete Files and click OK and OK.

That should be it.
