Default [Resolved] McAfee Missing File

I do also have a problem with McAfee. So I thought if i would re-install it it might work again

But after complete uninstall and reboot, i tried to install it again and then I got 2 messages
"class not registered" and then" an error occurred while installing McAfee HTML dialog component.

I tried al lot of things but noting worked,... btw the windows securitycenter is still saying that mcafee personal firewall is running but it isn't running

If someone could help me please

Steven

Hi there Steven , welcome to PCHF.

Lets have a look if there is some malware preventing you from installing McAfee , please follow the instructions in the "Prework" link below in my sig and post back with the two resulting log files to a post here.

Looks prety good , nothing really bad.

Boot youre pc in safemode (hit f8 when booting up) and fix these with hjt:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.google.nl/ig?hl=nl
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.aldi.com/
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.google.nl/ig?hl=nl
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://www.aldi.com/
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\Userinit.exe
O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.aldi.com/

And lets see if this helps:

install and run RegSupremePro. It will want to make a backup of your registry , let it. Once it has finished, click on the Registry Cleaner tab, select Aggressive. When it has completed, click on Select, choose All. Click on Fix, and let it fix everything that it finds.

See if this helps:
Download and save the VSCleanupTool.exe to your desktop.
  1. Locate VSCleanupTool.exe on your desktop and double-click to launch.
  2. The removal tool will schedule and display a time when the removal process will begin.
Note: The displayed time should be within one mintute of the current system time shown in the bottom right side of the screen.
  3. Removal will begin at the displayed time.
  4. During this process, several icons will be created on your desktop. All of these new icons, except one, will be removed when the uninstall is complete and the computer has been restarted. The file mccleanup.log will remain on the desktop. Once you have verified the removal was successful, you can delete this file.
  5. When finished, the following message will be displayed: The machine must reboot to complete the uninstallation. Reboot now?
  6. Press "Y" on your keyboard to restart your computer and complete the removal process.
If that doesn't help , what is the exact version and year of McAfee product you had installed?
