This is the only part that has to be done in safemode , the rest can be done with the page open in normal mode:

You dont have to printout/do in safemode anything else.

Thanks, only trouble is I have read your post about safe mode only after I scanned in normal mode, this morning the scan got to 80% then crashed, it took about three hours for it to reboot properly, so why do you have to scan in safe mode?that is interesting.

It could be that some malware is trying to prevent Ewido from running , or trying to prevent it from being removed by it and causing Ewido to crash or hang. That happends sometimes.

And that is also just the reason why it is recommended to scan in safemode , alot of things wont be running then , including most malware , and they cant interfere with spyware removal apps then.

You could also try this to get it to run completly if it still hangs in safemode aswell:

If during your scan Ewido "crashes" or "hangs", please try scanning again. Before running the scan, click on 'Scanner' (the 3rd bar from the top on the left) and Choose 'Settings'. Uncheck 'Scan in NTFS Alternate Data Streams' as this can cause problems in overly infected systems. Click 'OK' and run a new scan.
