Hey there adigiorgio, welcome to PCHF,

Do you recall the name of the virus that it detects?

Can you try running either of these programs:Would be a good idea to install AVG and update it, then run the scan.

Someone will take a look at the logs for ya in the meantime.

Duh, I've been so frustrated at this whole thing that I forgot two important things:

First, hello everyone. I've frequented these forums before and I wish I could have registered under better circumstances.

Second, the virus name, as far as I can figure, is dvprpt and the two most recent files it's been found on are BEX02259.XML and GLF1F78.TMP.EXE

To be honest it doesn't really sound like a virus, can you try deleting your temp and temporary internet folders.

Also run an Ewido scan and see if it removes anything, you can find the link under "Prework" in my sig.

Do you have any logs from your virusscan?

Hya Adigiorgio.

I would advice to uninstall Command AV and have a look in our download section for some decent free AV's.

Command Antivirus is disappointing in almost every regard. It is perhaps the most difficult program to work with. Performing even the simplest tasks is confusing. For example, specifying particular file types to scan is treated as a global option, affecting all scan tasks.

Command Antivirus did very poorly on our tests, causing a 13.5 percent hit on system performance. It also failed to detect five of the WildList viruses on our Virus Detection test.

I'll have a look at youre logs aswell.

 :cheesy:  :cheesy:

dvprpt is part of command AV itself.

It apperantly detects itself as a virus.

Ewido removed 17 items when I ran it. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to get the virus scan logs. Does anyone that uses Command Antivirus help me?
