My friends dell notebook was infected by spyaxe. I cleaned it and finally after using everything i could think of ewido finally fixed it. However now i cant get on the internet. I am trying to get on with a direct cable connection. I reinstalled the network card and used winsock fix but no go! I also ran sfc to fix any files i might have deleted by accident. I did go i little wild with hijackthis since i thought my next step was to reformat.....
here are my logs ..i included the old ones so you could see my journey.
hijackthis 2 is from today.

when i use ie
thanks in advance

Ok, then let's wait for a qualified member of staff to look at your logs.

Nothing wrong in youre latest hjt log , but the old log just has a few entry's in it , i cant see/do much with that.

The best thing to do is to restore as much of hjt's backups as you can , and then post a new hjt log. Do you remember what you removed? Did you remove any 010 or 017 entry's?

And since Ewido cant completly clean Spyaxe afaik , lets run this tool:

Download Smitrem to your desktop:
http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/click...click.php?id=1

Run the installer and then press Start to Extract the
files to the desktop, Do not run it yet.

Reboot into safe mode (Reboot and keep tapping F8 then
choose safe mode from the list)

Run SmitRem:
Open the SmitRem folder and double click the "RunThis.bat"
file to start the tool , Follow the prompts on
screen. Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

The tool will create a log named smitfiles.txt in the root of the drive that you ran the batch file on, eg; Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please attach this log to your next reply

Looks like something went wrong with attaching the log , but did you also see this part:

Or have you already deleted hjt's backup files? (from the desktop it looks like) If not , try to restore them. And/or do you remember what you removed?
