[Fixed] Hijackthis! Logs - [Fixed] search.ug remover? posted in the Security & Safety forums; I got a spyware, searc.ug pop up in the explorer (Microsoft and firefox, too).I cannot remove with Spy Sweeper, Ad-Aware, SpyBot. Can anybody help me? Thanks Peter...

Default [Fixed] search.ug remover?

I got a spyware, searc.ug pop up in the explorer (Microsoft and firefox, too).I cannot remove with Spy Sweeper, Ad-Aware, SpyBot. Can anybody help me?

If you click on the "Prework" link below , follow those instructions and post the two resulting log files then i'll have a look if i can get rid of that for you.

The ccleaner is stopped after analyse, I could not run it. I send the logs.

Please download AproposFix.exe - but do NOT run it yet.
http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/aproposfix.exe

Then boot in safemode. (hit f8 when booting up)

Once in Safe Mode, double-click aproposfix.exe and unzip it to the desktop.
Open the aproposfix folder on your desktop and run RunThis.bat. Follow the prompts.

When the tool is finished, please reboot back into normal mode.

Then post the log.txt file in the aproposfix folder.

Nope , no apropos.. And i cant find anything wrong in youre hjt log either.

Also all i can find on search.ug has to do with redirects invloving googles cache being hacked , nothing on popups im afraid.

Lets see if Panda AV finds anything , run a Panda scan here:

And post the log from it please.
