my computer has been acting EXTREMELY SLUGGLISH AND WEIRD LATELY.
Adobe Photoshop crashes everytime i try to open it, Mozilla Firefox won't work(i'm forced to use the dreadfull IE), iTunes opens on my processes menu when i click on it, but will never show up on my screen or the applications menu when i check on Ctrl ALt Delete..... and when i to end the processes for photoshop, itunes, and mozilla, they will never end!!!! i tried uninstalling and re-installing all these programs(photoshop, itunes, mozilla) but it still won't fix the problem..... whats going on with my machine!!!!!

i followed all the step in the sticky, but when i tried to run edwido, it would not update the definitions of work. it would just freeze up.

i attached my hijackthis log, please help me! i don't know what else to do!

Hya Drummerboy032 , welcome to PCHF.

What you descibe sounds more like a corrupt windows install or registry or something like that.

And you hjt log seems to be clean , only i don't know for sure what this is:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BTCLiveUpdate] "C:\Program Files\LiveUpdate\LiveUpdate.exe" /autostart

The file in bold is used by both legit apps and malware , can you upload that file to this site to check and report back the result?

Hya Drummerboy032 , no need to upload the file to this forum. But can you upload it to the site i posted above? Just copy and paste the filepath in the addressbox on that site and press "send" , then report back the scanning results please.
