Default Warning! Panda Program

Joe, I have a warning. I just spent an hour trying to get my computer running again after downloading the Panda program. it would load my icons partway then freeze. i tried rebooting in safe mode and just got a list of drivers on my screen. i tried everything over and over. I finally restarted in "SAFE mode with Networking" whatever that is and got it to open. I went to Add / Remove Programs and removed Panda. It then restarted in regular mode. I think you should warn people to NOT download the trial version of this program as it could lock up their computer. It looked like that was the only way to fix the problems it found: 38 viruses and 4 spywares. AFter rereading your post I see you do not say to fix the problems it finds, which can only be done according to them by downloading the program. I saved a log.
Anyway, here is the reply to your post:
Not sure what 'atm' is.
Yes, had the MS AS fix the problems.
I don't know if fixwareout fixed the problem. I have gone so long now trying to fix this computer that I am forgetting what I am supposed to be looking for at this point. So I ran fixwareout again and saved the logs. I will now attach the Panda log, the fixwareout log, and the hijack this log. I want to remove any programs with a search that find "panda". I await your reply. Thank you.

Im sorry to hear you had problems with it , its the first time i heard of a prob with active scan though. But it is not supposed to happen.

What do you mean with trial version? The link i posted was for a free online scan , and no trial app.

That is normal and ok.

atm = At This Moment

And it looks like you are clean , the wareout is gone. Do you still have any problems?

Default problems almost fixed?

I ran the ActiveScan and there was a big green button to get info on deleting the problems found, or something like that. I clicked on it and there was an offer to download the Panda program for a free 30 day trial offer, and this was the beginning of the problem; the active scan worked fine. But it still shows 8 problems, all spyware (c:\documents and settings\cookies\), but when I try and open the folder, there is just a file in there that is a .dat file (see attached). I get a warning that it is dangerous to mess with them, and notepad does not open it in a readable way anyway. How should I get rid of these spyware files? BTW, it seems to be working now without getting hijacked!
Thank you.

Im not sure what link that was , but it wasn't necesary to run/download an other scan there then the active scan.

You can use Ccleaner to automaticly cleanup all temp files and cookies , see for a link below. But tracking cookies are nothing really bad and within a few minutes of surfing there will be severall new ones again.

And do you still have any problems left right now?
