Default [Fixed] Spyware Problem - Help Please

Hi All

I hope you can help me. I have had Spyeaxe on my notebook for sometime. My IT support function have got rid of SpyAxe prgrammes through running some programmes but I am still stuck with the balloon at the bottom right hand corner which beeps every 30 seconds.

It reads

System Intrusion Detected

Dangerous infection was detected on your PC. The system will now download and install most effiecient antimalware program to prevent data loss and your private information theft.
Click here to protexct you computer from the biggest malware threats.

Can you please help as to how to get rid of this? All the programmes have now gone apart from this - it's driving me mad!

Many thanks

Hi ther PGrafton , welcome to PCHF.

That shouldn't be to hard to get rid of im sure.

Download Smitrem to your desktop:

http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/click...click.php?id=1

Run the installer and then press Start to Extract the
files to the desktop, Do not run it yet.

Reboot into safe mode (Reboot and keep tapping F8 then
choose safe mode from the list)

Open the SmitRem folder and double click the "RunThis.bat"
file to start the tool , Follow the prompts on
screen. Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

The tool will create a log named smitfiles.txt in the root of the drive that you ran the batch file on, eg; Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please attach this log to your next reply.

After that please follow the "prework" instructions (see link below) and also attach the two resulting log files from that.
