Hya Dave , welcome to PCHF.

That Kaspersky log was made before you used system restore?

These can be fixed with hjt:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CA356D79-679B-4b4c-8E49-5AF97014F4C1} - (no file)
But i see you have no firewall , to prevent malware problems you really should have one. Have a look in our download section for free firewalls.

And you really should uninstall "SpyPry" , its a rogue/fake antispyware app , that app finds all sort of things... But non of it is really on youre pc..

ridiculous false positives

Do you mean the first or the second quote?

The first are two entry's that can be fixed with hijackthis , start hjt , select "do a system scan only" , then putt a check infront of those two lines and press "fix checked".

And the second is a quote from the site that i linked to that keeps track of Fake/rogue anti spyware applications.

Wich in short means: uninstall "spypry" , and use apps like spybot , ad aware or ewido insteed.

Hi Glasgowdave, though I'm not a logreader the log appears clean to me. But we'll have to wait for a certified expert to make sure of that.
